Here's why this is valuable. Instead of paying $2.50 per ringtone from Cingular/at&t, build them yourself using your existing mp3's and Rogue Amoeba's Fission audio editor. Now you're enjoying your tunes, as many as your phone can hold, free. And using your phone as a thumbdrive... hmmm. So long as everyone else has Bluetooth, too.

I installed on PowerBook G4 1.33GHz OS 10.4.9 and it pushes right through to a Nokia 6126. Flawless, although the link to the Bluetooth Object Push is broken, so use the search field at the top of the page.

And if you're looking to go the other way around, Bluetooth File Exchange (in your Utilities folder) allows you to browse the device, in which case your phone shows up like a little FTP transfer window... and because it's a Mac, you can drag and drop onto your desktop.

Umm, why not use the phone to send the file? I now use my W810i (512MB MS) as my ‘USB’ key chain. Fast enough for my purposes. I send files with a finder plugin and off I go.

Let me give an example why this is useful...

Say you got a new cell phone and you want to transfer all of your contacts to this new device wich is not iSync compatible. What a normal person would do is to send them via bluetooth to the new cell phone directly from Adress Book. Since this app makes a VCF containing all your contacts ant not all cell phones can handle this files, now you are forced to transfer the manually ne by one. That must be considered as the 8th ring of Hell.

This is really useful.

why would I want to automate pushing something to the phone, I want to auto pull my photos and voice notes OFF my phone.
