The intel version does not work under Snow Leo – OS 10.6. Says that it needs to be ‘universal’.

This is not working with os 10.5, intel. I get: could not be loaded because its executable is not loadable.

I found on Mac os X hints this Intel version. It was not working for me when imported but perhaps restarting of Automator helped. It now works and push my images back to phone!!!
