Scratch that. File>Import Action did the trick. That’s what I get for posting before having coffee. :/

This seems ridiculous, but I can’t get the action to import into Automator. I’ve tried double-clicking and drag-and-dropping into the automator window and it just won’t go. I’m in 10.5.7, is there any reason this shouldn’t be working?

I use Contenta Converter for this task and am loving it, because it does not make it complicated.

Does this work with the latest version of DNG converter? I tried it but it just launches DNG converter and quickly quits.

I guess I don’t understand how to use these actions that have [original] for name and destination. I tried running it by putting “Ask for Finder Items” first and passing it a folder, but it’s not working. I also tried putting in “Get Folder Contents”. If you can’t tell, I am a complete Automator novice.

Andrew, if you pass the new version a folder, it will work much faster than the old version, because it will only launch the converter once. The old version launched it for every file. Unfortunately, because of this change, I can no longer have the delete originals option. You can always add this functionality to your workflow by passing the source folder on to a spotlight action that finds your original raw files, and then a move to trash action.

It seems that my workflow using the previous version did the conversion as I specified, and the originals ended up in the trash. The new version works but leaves the original files in place… or am I missing something?
