Metro Downloader 1.8
**Function:** Downloads and opens in Preview the free [Metro](http://www.metropoint.com) newspaper of your country/city.

**Notes**: This download includes premade workflows for the country/city of your choice. They require the [*Replace Date Placeholders*](http://www.automatorworld.com/2005/07/10/replace-date-placeholders/) action. Includes a ReadMe with detailed instructions. Updated with additional info in ReadMe.
**Update 1.8**: Italy; added Lombardia, Veneto, Torino Bologna, Genova & Firenze. Spain; added Catalunya, Castilla la Mancha, Elx, Canary & Bilbao. Mexico; completely new added Publimetro. Czech republic ; added Bohemia and Moravia. Sweden; completely updated. Added new versions off Stockholm, Goteborg, Skane & Riksupplagan
**Update 1.7**: Added Croatia.
**Update 1.5**: Included Replace Date Placeholders action installer - thanks to [Advenio](http://www.advenio.com/). Added more Spain newspapers and checked URL's for the others.
**Update 1.4**: France newspapers are back.
**Update 1.3**: Remove some countries/ cities because they were not available anymore. Also changed some scripts, so if your script isn't working anymore try the new version.

I get a red line in Automator that reads something like URL… something.

I believe it will error out if there is no pdf on the given date being run.

Hello Cade,
Steve’s right when there is no pdf available nothing happens. It happens sometimes that metro does not publish their newspaper. I really don’t know why.
Not al scripts are tested so it’s possible that something is not working. If that is the case please contact me; see for more information the Read Me file.

Try to make soon a new version available where the user gets an clear message when there is no newspaper available, because this is now a little bit unclear.

The base-url of the metro edition has changed.
Cange the prefix-url into “http://metropoint.metro.lu/”
in case of Holland the url becomes: http://metropoint.metro.lu/%Y%m%d_MetroHolland.pdf.
