Function: Uploads files or folders to an FTP server.
Author: Peter Dekkers
Input: (Text) Files/folders or absolute paths to files as plain text arguments.
Output: (Text) Filenames of the uploaded files, prefixed by the entered Base URL.
Notes: New in this version: support for proxy servers and forced passive transfers. Warning: This action overwrites remote files without prompting. Includes three sample workflows.
Updates:
v1.4
- Fixed a bug with some servers with line endings being appended to filenames
Thanks Marcel Rivard!
v1.3 (skipped a version there, not sure why…)
- Fixed a recursion bug - Many thanks to Tom Davies!

It seems that indeed version 10.4.1 of OS X is required for the Upload to FTP action to work.
I haven’t tested it in 10.4.0 myself, yet, but reports from users seem to indicate that this is indeed the case. Confirmations of this would be appreciated!

I’ve no idea, Morgan. Could you maybe tell me what version of OS X you have? Have you yupdated to 10.4.2 yet? Maybe that could be it, I haven’t tested the action in 10.4.0 or 10.4.1 yet. I just assumed it would work.

I am having the very same problem as miller and have not solved it. I’m using it as a Finder plugin in this instance. Any news on what might be the problem?

Hey, no problem Miller. I hope you find the cause soon.
A friend of mine once had a corrupt ‘Get Selected Finder Items’ action. My action owuld not work on his computer, until we saw it was actually the other action that was errorring. I e-mailed him my copy of the ‘Get Selected Finder Items’ and he overwrote his copy with mine. A reboot later his problems were over.

I tried it on a different computer and it works fine. Sorry for the trouble as I guess it has something to do with my setup. It worked very nice and quickly when it worked. Thank you for writing it.
