Function: Compares two folders and copies the matching files to a third folder.
Author: Automator World
Notes: This is a sample workflow for the action Compare Folders. It’s set up as an application so you can experiment with the different settings. It asks you to select two folders, make comparison options and finally the choose the destination folder for the matched files.
Sample Usage: Photographers who shoot RAW often batch-convert their images to JPEG, allowing quick selection of final images. By comparing the original RAW folder with a second folder of selected JPEGs, this workflow will find and copy the matching original RAW selected files to a destination folder. Checking “Ignore file extensions” allows this to work.
Infinitely useful! A real timesaving sutomation…
