Function: Runs a series of system maintenance scripts via the Terminal: Repair Permissions, Verify Preference Files, Run Periodic and Update Prebindings. Author: Jesse Hogie Notes: The download contains extensive notes.
Oops, i deleted the readme file for 3.3 with jessie’s contact details in it, can someone post them for me so i can recomend something and ask about something else? Unless someone here can help me? I dont really wanna know what was done once its done, so how can i stop the results appearing on the desktop? I cant view them either, used text edit to have a look, but it wouldnt let me. ALSO, can anyone explain why a simple “would you like to restart now” or auto restart wasnt added to 3.3 ? Seein as it recomends you restart after using. I added my own using automator, but why wasnt it included to begin with?
I can confirm that Maintenance 3.3 deletes the custom login icons from the login screen. It also seems to have deleted my picture from my Address Book card as well, but not that of other users. Not a show stopper, but annoying enough that I won’t be using this otherwise fine tool until it’s fixed. I’m running 10.4.5.
However, thanks for going to all the work. Except for the icon bit, this is a neat little tool.

I ran this version and didn’t lose my icons, so I’m not sure what combination of circumstances lead to the problem. I’ve contacted the author.
