Function: Extensive Suite of Photoshop CS Actions.
Author: Complete Digital Photography
Notes: The download contains only the CS2 version; for the CS1 version and other updates, check here.
Updates:
Version 3.0 of the Action Pack includes 11 new actions - Add Layer, Add Empty Adjustment Layer, Add Graphic Watermark, Channel Mixer, Duplicate Current Layer, Paint Daubs, Photo Filter, Resize to File Size, Scale to X by 10%, Swap Colors, Exposure, and Reduce Noise. In addition, Version 3 now allows you to open any Camera Raw files supported by the version of Photoshop that you’re using. When opening Raw files using the Action Pack, Photoshop will automatically read any previously stored conversion settings and convert your document accordingly. This means you can now use an Automator workflow to batch process raw files that you’ve already configured in Camera Raw. Version 3 of the Action Pack also includes many new features to facilitate non-destructive editing, such as the creation of Adjustment Layers. CS2 users now have access to Photoshop’s Save for Web feature from the Action Pack, for creating highly optimized JPEG and GIF files.
May 31, 2006: Version 2.2 adds full compatibility with Intel-based Macs (with version 2, roughly a dozen actions were unfunctional on Intel Macs) as well as 2 new actions and more. A full list of bug fixes and feature changes is included here, and you’ll also find a copy in the included 61-page manual.
March 10, 2006: Version 2.0 of the Action Pack includes a dozen new actions and an entirely new architecture that completely eliminates several shortcomings of the first version.
Version 2 also packs a number of bug fixes, and many existing actions sport new features. A full list of bug fixes and feature changes is included, and you’ll also find a copy in the included 61-page manual.
Hi Steve No, no stuffitt needed because I’ve just downloaded and installed a new Action pack and that came through ok. I even reinstalled Photoshop. Nothing so far! This is queer! Thanks for the info about Word though.

Molly- Are you using Stuffit to expand the actions? If so, it might be this annoying bug where an unstuffed folder shows no contents. My solution for that is to duplicate the unstuffed folder (or copy to another drive), and the contents will appear.
Also, the PS pack needs to be installed in the Photoshop folder, not any Automator folders. It goes here:
/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS/Photoshop CS Action Pack.appAn application will only show up in the Automator Library if that application has actions written for it. Microsoft has not created any Automator actions for Office, therefore you don’t see it (that said, there is a 3rd party set of Office actions available here: http://www.automatorworld.com/archives/new-automator-book-–-discovering-automator/ )

Dear All Thank you for your replies but I think I have to let this one go! I have already downloaded that file four times (and the one for CS1 too because I have Photoshop CS only) and each time it is unpacked, a folder is produced with nothing in it! Well nothing that is visible anyway. Yet Get Info tells me its has items of 22 Meg. I downloaded TinkerTool and used it to reveal the items and then installed them properly but this has had no effect. I even looked at the package and moved all the main items over to Automator’s folder but it still does not appear in Automator. I have opened Automator holding down Option to rebuild itself but still nothing. I have an Intel iMac running 10.4.6 by the way. Finally, I deleted everything and left just one because I understood already that it might get confused with more than one copy. By the way, Word does not appear in Automator either. Does anyone know the criteria that a program must have to be recognised by the application? I have been using Macs for 15 years but this one has me stumped. Thanks anyway
Molly

Molly - It does if you installed this Action pack correctly (see previous message and instructions).

I wondered if someone could offer me an explanation for the reason why Photoshop does not appear in the list of applications when I start Automator? Everything else but not Photoshop! Its very frustrating as there appears to be no way to put it in there either. Hope you can help.
Best Wishes
Molly
