Function: Saves images attached to the messsages passed from the previous action to a chosen folder. Author: Nyhthawk Productions Requires: Mail 2.0.5 or higher (Mac OS X v10.4.3) Input: (Mail messages) Output: (Files/Folders)
At first, it fails because it can’t find the destination folder. Workaround: I’m having my home directory on a separate volume. Selecting a folder on the system volume works.
Then it fails with the note “Mime Type of mail message with the id 1.2.2 kann nicht in den Typ reference umgewandelt werden (-1700)” (I’m using the german version). This is caused by using the action on ecrypted mails (S/MIME). All of my mails are encrypted…
You’re right, it does seem to fail on the default download locations in the action list, except “Applications” oddly, but it does work on any custom folder chosen (for example a “downloads” folder on your Desktop) and the checked “default downloads folder” (which by default is ~/Libary/Mail Downloads).
I can’t speak to the encryption error, I don’t have any messages like that.
This action does not work:

I was trying to use this Action with multiple mail messages at once, but it gets attachments only from one message :-/

I wish someone will make a Universal Binary of this Action. Sadly, it does not work at all on my Intel.
