**Function:** Creates a multi-page 20" by 30" PDF document of thumbnails of the images passed into it from the previous action.
**Author**: [Jim Heid](http://www.macilife.com)
**Requires**: JPEG, TIFF, or PNG images
**Input**: (Image files)
**Output**: (PDF files) A PDF file
**Notes**: Thumbnails can be in either of three formats: square (96 images per page), horizontal (72 images per page), or vertical (72 images per page). The resulting file can be limited to a single page of the first group of images. The original images are not altered. The resulting file can be very large in size, it is not unusual to have files over 300 Mb in size.
This action includes a sample workflow that pulls images from your iPhoto library and returns the completed poster to a new album. [More information](http://www.macilife.com/2005/07/how-to-make-life-poster-tiger-edition.html).
**Updates**:
1.1 - removed limitation for US English systems only
1.2 - changed input and output types to com.apple.applescript.alias-object
This would be great, but returns an error saying it only works on US english… I am in the UK.
Anything I can do?

Hi Jim, would you consider making a similar action for a smaller size result, say 11×14 or 8×10?

keep getting an error message when I try to install the Automator. Error: -48 The operation could not be completed because there is already an item with that name. Any idea what I’m doing wrong or how to fix the problem.

[…] Automatorworld, a website full of cool Automator scripts features one by Jim Heid that I really like. It’s called Thumbnail Poster 1.2. It creates a multi-page 20″ by 30″ PDF document full of images from your iPhoto library. […]
