**Function:** Prints a document as a PDF to the specified location then attaches it to a new Mail message.
**Author**: [Shain E. Chmura](mailto:sechmura@mac.com)
**Notes**: This is a helpful variation on the normal *Mail PDF* print function in that it not only gives the PDF the proper title of the document you're printing, but also saves a copy to the folder of your choice for record keeping/backup.
**Install into**: /Library/PDF Services/
or ~/Library/PDF Services/
Is ti difficult to rework this action to create the pdf, publish it via ftp and send a mail notification to a list of users of its location?
Now thats an action I would use regularly

This Workflow doesn’t seem to work. I saved it in the library, then opened it. It just saves the same file to a different location. Am I missing something?

It’s intended to be used from the PDF drop-down menu in a Print dialog box.

Hiya, thanks for your sharing.
I am wondering how to rename the pdf files(more than 1000) into its title?
I have made so many actions but none of them seems to work.
Do you mind to write one for me?
Regards
Min

I can’t get this workflow to work – it appears to make the pdf but will not open Mail – is it possible to attach the pdf to Entourage instead?

It works fine for me..you’re running it via the print dialog, correct?

Works fine…anyone have thoughts on how to automatically print a pdf? Sending to a printer seems to be a standard function but i don’t see ‘Print as PDF’? I’m trying to print a calendar every morning and mail it as a pdf. Thoughts?

yeah, I agree, telling “print as pdf” to any os x program would be great…
if anyone knows how to do that, pleasee don’t make us wait too long:)

Used from within Microsoft Word, there is an annoying “Microsoft Word – ” appended to the file name. This does not happen with other Office applications or other word processors. Any idea how to get rid of it?
Thanks
George

I’m a MAC newbie – I’ve always used PC’s but now have to use a Mac.
This workflow is ALMOST exactly what I need; I’ve tried to work out how to do this myself, but to no avail. What I need to do is to create a PDF from the print dialog menu and email it, but using Entourage not Mail.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!
